The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has recently approved the acquisition of thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel India Pvt Ltd (thyssenkrupp India) by Jsquare Electrical Steel Nashik Pvt Ltd (JSquare). JSW Energy signs 1,200 MW hybrid power deals with MSEDCL

JSW Energy’s subsidiaries, JSW Renew Energy Six Ltd and JSW Renew Energy Thirty Ltd, have signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for two solar-wind hybrid projects, each with a capacity of 600 MW, totalling 1,200 MW.  These agreements, awarded on August 29 and September 10, 2024, are set for 25 years at a tariff of Rs 3.60/kWh, with projects expected to be operational within 24 months.
