Vestas enters Asia Pacific with wind project order in Japan

Denmark’s Vestas has secured an order to supply 21 V236-15.0 MW turbines for the 315 MW Oga Katagami Akita Offshore Wind Project in Japan’s Akita Prefecture.  The deal includes a long-term service agreement to optimise turbine performance. This marks Vestas’ first firm order for its V236-15.0 MW turbine in the Asia-Pacific region and its first project under Japan’s offshore wind auctions based on the Renewable Energy Sea Area Utilization Act.

Nozomi Energy acquires 312 MW solar portfolio in Japan

Nozomi Energy, a Japanese renewable energy company and an Actis subsidiary, has acquired a portfolio of 12 operational solar projects, totalling 312 MW.  These projects, which range from 1 MW to over 60 MW, are backed by Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) contracts that extend at least until 2040, providing stable and predictable cash flows for the company.
