Four developers shortlisted for Rajasthan HVDC-based ISTS scheme re-tender

Four developers, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL), Sterlite Power, Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL), and India Grid Trust (IndiGrid), have been shortlisted for the development of an interstate transmission system (ISTS) scheme in Rajasthan.  The scheme, “Transmission system for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part I,” involves high-voltage direct current (HVDC) infrastructure and was re-tendered in August following the annulment of the original bidding process. REC Power Development & Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) established a project special purpose vehicle (SPV) named “Ratle Kiru Power Transmission Ltd” on October 23, 2024, as a wholly-owned subsidiary.
