IEX records highest-ever monthly power trade in January 2026

Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) reported its highest monthly electricity traded volume at 13,050 million units (MU) in January 2026, up 19.6% from the same month last year. Higher supply liquidity and lower prices across key segments supported the increase in market activity. Sebi uncovers Rs 173 crore insider trading in IEX shares

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has uncovered insider trading worth over Rs 173 crore in shares of the Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) and barred eight people from the market after search operations last month. IEX Q2 FY26 sees higher electricity volumes, lower prices

Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) recorded electricity traded volume of 35,217 MU (excluding TRAS) in Q2 FY26, up 16.1% year-on-year. TRAS volumes rose to 603 MU from 16.9 MU in Q2 FY25. IEX records 4% increase in traded electricity volume in October 2024

The Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) reported a traded electricity volume of 9,642 million units (MU) in October 2024, marking a 4% year-on-year growth.
