Global wind installations hit record 165 GW in 2025
The global wind energy industry installed 165 gigawatts (GW) of new capacity in 2025, a 40% increase over 2024 and the highest annual figure on record, according to the Global Wind Report 2026, published on April 20 by the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).
