LCCC signs three contracts under UK hydrogen round

The Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) has signed three hydrogen production contracts under Hydrogen Allocation Round 1 (HAR1), part of the UK government’s Hydrogen Production Business Model.  These initial agreements include the Cromarty, Whitelee, and West Wales projects, with a combined capacity of 31.8 megawatts (MW). Hygreen Energy supplies 25 MW electrolyser for hydrogen project in China

Hygreen Energy has delivered a 25 MW electrolyser system to Huadian Weifang Power Generation Co., Ltd.  The system, capable of producing 3.6 tonnes of hydrogen daily with 99.999 percent purity, will support large-scale hydrogen projects in China’s Shandong region. IIT Indore develops catalyst for economical hydrogen production from methanol

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore has developed a catalyst that produces pure hydrogen from methanol at a significantly lower temperature and cost compared to traditional methods.  The catalyst, developed under the leadership of Professor Sanjay K Singh from the Department of Chemistry, allows hydrogen production at 130 degrees Celsius, whereas conventional methods require temperatures exceeding 200 degrees Celsius.
