CVPP begins dam concrete works on Kwar Hydro Electric Project

Chenab Valley Power Projects Private Limited (CVPP) has initiated dam concrete works for the Kwar Hydro Electric Project.  The project, a run-of-river (RoR) scheme, is located across the Chenab River near Padyarna village in the Kishtwar district of Jammu.  The project, being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 49.49 billion, is a key part of the region’s renewable energy infrastructure development.

India surpasses 200 GW renewable energy milestone

India has crossed a major milestone in its renewable energy journey, with the nation’s total renewable energy capacity reaching 201.45 GW as of October 10, 2024, according to the Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
