China’s Hualong One becomes most deployed nuclear reactor design
China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) said the Hualong One has become the world’s most deployed third-generation nuclear reactor, with 41 units operating or under construction. Each unit generates over 10 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 8.16 million tonnes. Seven units are already grid-connected.
