Himachal Pradesh installs 2 MW solar power plant in Kaza

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu announced the installation of a 2 MW solar power plant in Kaza, Lahaul-Spiti district, to enhance power supply in the remote region.  The plant will be fully operational soon, with the addition of a 1 MWh battery storage system.  The state is focusing on increasing solar energy use to become a “green state.”  In addition, 18 MW of solar plants are planned on vacant land near electricity board offices,…
