Gujarat hydropower plants made a record in electricity generation in August’24
In August 2024, Gujarat’s hydropower plants generated 1,067.3 million units (MU) of electricity, a rise from 308.7 MU in July, due to monsoon-driven water inflows filling the state’s dams, according to ANI. The Sardar Sarovar Dam was the largest contributor, generating over 800 MU, with its River Bed Power House (RBPH) and Canal Head Power House (CHPH) stations producing a combined total of 891 MU.
