Generation milestone

The Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS), operated by SJVN Limited, has achieved cumulative power generation of 150 billion units (BU). The 1,500 MW underground hydropower station reached the milestone on March 9, 2026. In a press release, SJVN stated that the project has maintained consistent operational performance since its commissioning in May 2004.
