112 MW Ballinagree wind farm in Ireland secures planning approval

The Ballinagree wind farm, a 50:50 joint venture between FuturEnergy Ireland (a Coillte-ESB partnership) and Danish developer Ørsted, has received planning approval.  Located between Millstreet and Macroom in County Cork, the project will feature 16 wind turbines, each 185m tall, with a total capacity of 112MW. SSE and FuturEnergy submit plans for Irish wind farm

SSE Renewables and FuturEnergy Ireland have submitted a planning application for the 122 MW Cummeennabuddoge wind farm to An Bord Pleanala, Ireland’s national planning authority. The project, located 5km northwest of Ballyvourney on the Cork-Kerry border, aims to power 81,900 homes annually and contribute to Ireland’s clean energy goals.
