The Madhya Pradesh government has introduced the Samadhan Yojana 2025–26, a one-time settlement plan to recover Rs 120 billion in unpaid electricity dues from about 9.2 million consumers. The scheme provides surcharge waivers of up to 90% for domestic and agricultural users, and up to 80% for non-domestic and industrial consumers, depending on the timing of their lump-sum payments.
