Two researchers from the mechanical engineering department of Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET), Pranjal Sarmah and Siddhartha Sankar Sarmah, have patented a hydroelectric turbine designed to generate electricity from shallow water bodies like streams and rivers.
