Avantus sells Catclaw Solar and Energy Storage Project to DESRI

Avantus has announced the sale of its Catclaw Solar and Energy Storage Project to D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI). Situated in Buckeye, Arizona, the Catclaw project includes up to 225 MWac of solar power and 250 MW/1,000 MWh of energy storage, accompanied by a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Arizona Public Service (APS). DESRI, El Paso Electric begin construction on 130MW Carne solar, storage project in New Mexico

DE Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI), in partnership with El Paso Electric (EPE), has commenced construction on the 130MWac Carne solar and storage project in Deming, New Mexico. This marks DESRI’s second project in Luna County, following the 2017 launch of the Alta Luna solar facility.
