Ministry of Coal launches 11th round of commercial coal mine auctions

The Ministry of Coal has launched the 11th round of commercial coal mine auctions, offering 27 coal blocks across Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Arunachal Pradesh, including one coking coal mine.  The blocks offered include both fully and partially explored mines.  Additionally, agreements with successful bidders from the 10th round have been finalised, with the operationalisation of these mines expected to generate annual revenue of Rs 1.45 billion.

The Ministry of Coal has commenced the 10th round of commercial coal mine auctions, offering five mines on the first day with combined geological reserves of 2,630.77 million tonnes and a peak-rated capacity of 12 million tonnes per annum. The fully explored New Patrapara South mine in Odisha was awarded to NLC India Limited.
