Portland General Electric (PGE) has entered a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Avangrid, a member of the Iberdrola Group, to procure power from the 120 MWac (166 MWdc) Tower Solar project in Morrow County, Oregon.  Scheduled for completion in 2026, Tower Solar will be Avangrid’s sixth solar facility and 17th power generation project in Oregon, where the company operates 1.6 GW of wind and solar capacity. Avangrid sells Kitty Hawk North offshore wind lease area to Dominion

Avangrid has completed the sale of its 40,000-acre Kitty Hawk North offshore wind lease area to Dominion Energy for $160 million. The transaction includes a $117 million lease acquisition payment and reimbursement for associated development costs. The sale agreement was initially signed in July 2024.
