Suzlon secures order of 1,166 MW from NTPC

Renewable energy provider Suzlon has won a 1,166 MW order from NTPC Green Energy to supply and install 370 wind turbine generators (WTGs) in Gujarat. This includes two NTPC Renewable Energy projects and one project by IndianOil NTPC Green Energy, equipped with S144 WTGs and a hybrid lattice tubular tower. Each turbine has a rated capacity of 3.15 MW.

Suzlon will handle the equipment supply, project execution, and operations and maintenance services post-commissioning. This order brings Suzlon’s cumulative order book to approximately five GW as of September 2024. The project will play a key role in India’s energy independence and NTPC Green Energy’s goal of achieving 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.
