Sterling Tools has formed a partnership with Zhejiang Meishuo Electric Technology to manufacture latching relays in India, aiming for Rs 2 billion in revenue by FY2030.

A new facility will be established in Bengaluru with an initial investment of Rs 200 million, spearheaded by its subsidiary, Sterling Tech-Mobility.

The collaboration focuses on producing advanced latching relays for power transmission, smart metering systems, and consumer appliances.

These energy-efficient electromechanical switches consume power only when changing states, supporting sustainability and energy conservation goals.

The move diversifies Sterling Tools beyond automotive fasteners into power transmission and consumer appliance components.
