SJVN invites bids for 5.8 MW rooftop solar projects
SJVN has issued a tender for the installation of 5.8 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power systems on Union Government buildings across several states, including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. The project is part of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana and follows the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model.
Bidders are required to submit Rs 5,900 as a document fee, Rs 5,000 plus 18% GST for bid processing, and an earnest money deposit of Rs 1,000 per kW. The last date for bid submission is October 16, 2024. Financial incentives such as accelerated depreciation, concessional customs and excise duties, and tax holidays are available for this project.
SJVN has been designated as the Scheme Implementation Partner by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), with over 18 Union Ministries, including Commerce, Agriculture, and Consumer Affairs, participating in the programme.
In addition to this, SJVN recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IREDA and GMR Energy Limited for the development of a 900 MW Upper Karnali hydroelectric project in Nepal.
