SJVN commissions 90 MW Omkareshwar floating solar project in Madhya Pradesh

SJVN has successfully commissioned its 90 MW Omkareshwar floating solar project, executed by its wholly-owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy (SGEL). Located in the Omkareshwar floating solar park in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, this project is one of the largest floating solar installations in Central and North India.

With this commissioning, SJVN’s total installed capacity has increased to 2,466.50 MW. The power purchase agreement (PPA) for the project has been signed between SGEL, REWA Ultra Mega Solar (RUMSL), and MPPMCL for 25 years.

Developed at Rs 6.46 billion, the project is expected to generate 196.5 million units of energy in its first year and a cumulative 4,629.3 million units over 25 years.
