RES, Aula Energy partner to develop 612 MW wind farm in Australia

RES and Aula Energy, backed by Macquarie Asset Management, have joined forces to develop the 612 MW Argoon wind farm in New South Wales, located within the South-West Renewable Energy Zone. Situated near Jerilderie and Coleambally, the project will generate enough clean energy to power 430,000 homes annually.

This collaboration follows the success of the Murra Warra wind farms in Victoria, completed in 2022, and reflects the companies’ expertise in large-scale wind energy projects. The Argoon wind farm includes a $40 million community benefit-sharing commitment over its 30-year lifespan.

Additionally, RES plans to establish a Riverina Renewables Services Centre to provide operations and maintenance services and offer education and training. Both RES and Aula Energy emphasize their continued dedication to advancing Australia’s renewable energy transition.
