REC incorporates ‘Rajasthan IV 4B Power Transmission’ as a wholly owned subsidiary

REC has established ‘Rajasthan IV 4B Power Transmission’ as a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Power Development & Consultancy (RECPDCL), which itself is a wholly owned subsidiary of REC. The new company has been formed to manage the transmission system for the evacuation of power from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Phase-IV (Part-4: 3.5 GW), specifically Part B.

The newly incorporated entity has an authorized and paid-up capital of Rs 500,000. This formation follows a directive from the Ministry of Power, as per a gazette notification dated June 14, 2024, which allocated a transmission project to RECPDCL. RECPDCL has been designated as the bid process coordinator (BPC) for selecting a bidder for the transmission system.
