Power Ministery launches CEA regulations compendium to ensure grid stability

Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched a compendium of regulations from the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) to ensure grid stability and maintain safety standards in electricity operations. The compendium, covering technical standards, safety measures, grid connectivity, and more, addresses the evolving needs of India’s power sector.

Released under the Electricity Act, 2003, these regulations aim to promote efficient resource use, ensure grid stability, maintain safety standards, and support the integration of renewable energy into the national grid. Khattar emphasized that this compendium would bring uniformity and transparency to the power sector by providing a centralized source of information for stakeholders.

In addition to the compendium, Khattar launched the JAL VIDYUT DPR online portal for monitoring survey and investigation activities of hydroelectric and pumped storage projects. He also introduced the PROMPT portal for online monitoring of thermal projects and the DRIPS portal for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure in the Power Sector.
