Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has awarded multiple contracts for transmission projects in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
Vikran Engineering & Exim Private Limited secured a contract worth Rs 825.54 million for the 400 kV AIS substation package SS-134 under the Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) in Rajasthan (20 GW) Phase-III Part B1. The scope includes the augmentation of transformation capacity at 400/220 kV Bassi (PG) and Malerkotla (PG) substations, along with the implementation of a 400 kV line bay at the 765/400/220 kV Bhadla-III PS.
Associated Power Structures Private Limited won a Rs 3,095.2 million contract for Transmission Line Package TL01, involving the loop-in loop-out (LILO) of both circuits of the Vindhyachal PS – Sasan 400 kV D/C line at the Hindalco switchyard. The project, located in Uttar Pradesh, was tendered by PGCIL in October 2024.
Skipper Limited secured a Rs 1,469.64 million contract for Tower Package TW-01 for the 400 kV D/C Jhatikara-Dwarka Transmission Line under the Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) Phase-III Part D Phase II. The project includes setting up two 400 kV line bays each at the Jhatikara and Dwarka substations. Estimated to cost Rs 2.4 billion, it will be implemented under the regulated tariff mechanism (RTM) mode.
