Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) acquired “Khavda V-A Power Transmission Ltd” from REC Power Development & Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) on November 19, 2024. This project, valued at Rs 250 billion, is the largest interstate transmission system (ISTS) scheme awarded under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) mechanism. Torrent Power reports reduced T&D losses in major licensed areas

Torrent Power has reported a reduction in transmission and distribution (T&D) losses across most of its licensed and franchised distribution areas for the first half (April to September) of FY25.  In the Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar licensed area, T&D losses dropped from 6.30% in H1 FY24 to 4.50% in H1 FY25. Power Grid acquires Bikaner A and B Transmission Projects for Rajasthan REZ

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) has acquired Bikaner A Power Transmission Ltd (BATPL) and Bikaner B Power Transmission Limited, both established to support the “Transmission system for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ Phase IV (Part-3: 6 GW) [Bikaner complex]” on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.  The acquisition from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), the bid process coordinator, was completed on November 11, 2024.

GE Vernova T&D India quadruples order inflows in Q2 FY25
