Pace Digitek Limited said its material subsidiary, Lineage Power Private Limited, has received an advance purchase order worth Rs 94.35 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for advanced Li-ion battery solutions. The development was disclosed in a regulatory filing dated 20 January 2026.
The order covers the supply, installation, and commissioning of 25,000 smart Li-ion battery modules along with 2,500 weather resistant racks. It also includes a five year Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC), which will begin after the completion of an initial five year warranty period.
According to the company, the equipment will be deployed to strengthen the 48V DC power infrastructure across BSNL’s nationwide telecom network. All battery modules will be equipped with smart Battery Management System (BMS) technology and will be registered on the national Trusted Telecom Portal. The systems will also comply with the latest Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) standards.
Commenting on the order, Venugopal Rao Maddisetty, Chairman and Managing Director of Pace Digitek Limited, said it is strategically important for infrastructure modernisation and India’s digital expansion. The company stated that the supply execution is scheduled to be completed within five months from the receipt of the formal purchase order.
Pace Digitek added that the contract improves near term order book visibility and creates a long term service revenue stream through the post warranty AMC, while strengthening its relationship with a major public sector undertaking.
This development follows the recent appointment of Ketan Chitnis as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Lineage Power, effective January 16, 2026. Chitnis, who brings over two decades of energy storage sector experience, will lead key operational and business functions at the subsidiary.
