Orient Green signs Suzlon contract for 6.3 MW repowering in Tamil Nadu

Clarion Wind Farm Private Limited, a material stepdown subsidiary of Orient Green Power Company Limited (OGPCL), has approved a contract with Suzlon Energy Limited for the supply of wind energy generators for repowering an existing wind farm in Tamil Nadu.

The contract was approved by the Investment, Borrowing and Banking Committee of Clarion Wind Farm on January 28, 2026, and was signed and executed on the same day. Under the agreement, Suzlon Energy will supply three Wind Energy Generators (WEGs) of 2.1 MW capacity each, aggregating 6.3 MW. The equipment will be used to repower the existing Devarkulam wind farm site in Tamil Nadu.

OGPCL informed the stock exchanges of the development through a regulatory filing dated January 29, 2026, in compliance with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Regulations. The filing confirmed that the contract was executed by its subsidiary specifically for the Devarkulam repowering project.
