Oriana Power secures Rs 2.48 billion solar project from BPCL
Oriana Power has won a Rs 2.48 billion contract from Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) to execute a 52 MW ground-mounted solar power project on an EPC basis. The project scope includes securing CTU approval, establishing transmission lines, and providing complete operations and maintenance (O&M) support for five years.
Currently, Oriana Power has more than 390 MW of cumulative capacity under execution and has delivered over 240 MW of projects to date. The company also has a robust pipeline of more than 900 MW of additional projects. Oriana Power has secured around 920 acres of land across India for renewable energy projects, with a diverse portfolio spanning 22 states.
Recently, Oriana Power announced a strategic partnership with US-based Splitwaters, a green hydrogen electrolyser manufacturer. The partnership aims to establish a gigafactory for producing electrolysers and balance of plant (BOP) modules, essential for green hydrogen and e-fuel production. The factory will have a capacity of 500 MW by 2026, with an additional 500 MW to be added by 2027.
Looking ahead, Oriana Power plans to expand its operations to the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
