NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has announced the commercial operation of the first part capacity of 55 MW out of the 105 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-1) in Madhya Pradesh.
Following successful commissioning, the operation will take effect on November 29, 2024.
The Shajapur Solar Project is part of NTPC’s larger renewable energy initiative, with a total capacity of 325 MW under the Shajapur Solar Power Park in Madhya Pradesh.
The park includes Unit-1 (105 MW) and Unit-2 (220 MW). The projects are grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power initiatives located in the Shajapur district and are being implemented by NTPCGE Power Services Private Limited (NGSL).
