NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a fully owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, re-invited bids on May 23, 2025, for the Balance of System (BoS) package to develop 600 MW of Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind power projects in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The bid submission deadline is June 26, 2025.

This follows an earlier tender issued in November 2023 for 1,200 MW of ISTS-connected wind projects, with a greenshoe option of 300 MW.

The current scope covers design, engineering, micro-siting, and end-to-end implementation of the wind farm infrastructure. This includes internal 33 kV evacuation lines, pooling substation, central monitoring and control station (CMCS), wind monitoring mast(s), and external EHV transmission lines up to the ISTS substation. It excludes the supply, civil works, and installation of wind turbine generators (WTGs), unit substations, and SCADA systems. The selected contractor will also handle operations and maintenance (O&M) for three years.

Separately, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) issued a Request for Selection (RfS) on May 22, 2025, for setting up 500 MW of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects under Phase XXVII. There is a greenshoe option to add another 500 MW. These projects will be developed on a build, own, and operate (BOO) basis, with the deadline for bid submission on June 13, 2025.

Successful bidders will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with GUVNL. Projects must be commissioned within 24 months of the PPA signing.

In Karnataka, Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited (HESCOM) invited Request for Proposal (RfP) bids on May 22, 2025, to select solar power generators (SPGs) for setting up 69.38 MW of solar projects on a BOO basis. The projects will solarise selected agriculture feeders at the substation level.

The deadline for submitting bids is May 30, 2025. The scope includes design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and O&M for 25 years under the RESCO model. These projects fall under Component C of the PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) scheme. HESCOM will sign 25-year PPAs with SPGs at a ceiling tariff of Rs 3.17 per kWh.

The Centre will also provide Central Financial Assistance (CFA) of up to Rs 10.5 million per MW to eligible developers.
