NTPC begins commercial operations of 25 MW in Gujarat Solar project

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, commenced commercial operations of 25 MW capacity under the 200 MW Gujarat Solar PV Project-Phase XI in Sadla on January 17, 2025.

NTPC won the 200 MW capacity bid for GUVNL’s Phase-XI project in December 2020 at a tariff of Rs 1.99 per kWh. 

The project, part of GUVNL-I, involves the development of 200 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic power projects in Gujarat. GUVNL has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders from the scheduled commercial operation date.
