NLC India commissions 53 MW of Barsingsar solar project, reports FY25 profit growth

NLC India Limited has commissioned 52.83 MW of its 300 MW solar power project at Barsingsar in Bikaner district, Rajasthan. The company received the commissioning certificate from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited on 26 August 2025.
For the quarter ending June 2025, NLC India reported consolidated revenue of Rs 3,825.61 crore, compared with Rs 3,836.00 crore in the previous quarter. Net profit for the period stood at Rs 839.15 crore, up from Rs 468.36 crore in March 2025. Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter was 5.02.
On an annual basis, the company posted revenue of Rs 15,282.96 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 12,999.03 crore in FY24. Net profit for the year rose to Rs 2,713.37 crore from Rs 1,867.32 crore a year earlier. EPS improved to 19.57 in FY25 from 13.47 in FY24. The company’s return on equity increased to 14 per cent, while the debt-to-equity ratio declined to 1.20.
The annual income statement for FY25 showed sales of Rs 15,282 crore and total income of Rs 16,889 crore, with total expenditure of Rs 12,260 crore. Net profit stood at Rs 2,713 crore, supported by higher other income of Rs 1,606 crore.
NLC India’s balance sheet as of March 2025 reflected total assets of Rs 57,851 crore, against Rs 54,941 crore a year earlier. Reserves and surplus increased to Rs 17,336 crore, while the debt-to-equity position improved. The company also reported a net cash outflow of Rs 312 crore in FY25, compared to an inflow of Rs 487 crore in FY24.
