NHPC declares winners of 1.2 GW ISTS solar projects
NHPC Limited has announced the winners for the development of 1.2 GW inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects in India. The successful bidders include Essar Renewables (300 MW), Jevargi Solar (Rays Infra) (200 MW), Onward Solar (50 MW), Avaada Energy (350 MW), and Mahindra Susten (300 MW).
Essar Renewables, Jevargi Solar, and Onward Solar quoted a tariff of Rs 2.56 per kWh, while Avaada Energy and Mahindra Susten quoted Rs 2.57 per kWh. The tender, released in May 2024, allows for a total capacity of 1,200 MW with the greenshoe option, but only 600 MW without it.
