The National Committee on Transmission (NCT) has approved the regulated tariff mechanism (RTM) for two power augmentation projects at Bhuj-II Power Station. 

In its meeting on February 6, 2025, NCT de-notified TBCB and approved RTM for the “Augmentation of transformation capacity at Bhuj-II P’S (GIS).”

In the same meeting, NCT recommended RTM for the Provision of ICT Augmentation and Bus Reactor at Bhuj-II PS,” forwarding it to the Ministry of Power for final clearance. 

The projects have been allocated to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) under RTM at an estimated cost of Rs 4.28 billion and Rs 5.87 billion, respectively.

Previously, PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL) was designated as the bid process coordinator (BPC) to select transmission service providers (TSP) for these projects under the TBCB process on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.
