Matrix Renewables secures EUR 50 million EIB loan for solar projects in Spain

Matrix Renewables has obtained a EUR 50 million (USD 54.6 million) green loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance new solar projects in Spain. The funds will support the design, construction, and operation of five solar farms with a total capacity of 240 MW in Castile and Leon and Extremadura, regions with lower-than-average EU per-capita income.

The solar farms are expected to be operational by the end of 2025. This loan aligns with the EIB’s REPowerEU plan, which recently increased funding to EUR 45 billion to support the EU’s clean energy transition.

MAHAPREIT issues tender for 30 MW rooftop solar systems in Goa

Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology (MAHAPREIT) has launched a tender for the installation of 30 MW of distributed grid-connected rooftop solar systems on government buildings in Goa.  The project scope includes design, supply, installation, commissioning, and five years of maintenance.
