Marsons enters renewable energy sector, wins LoI for 150 MW solar project in Rajasthan
Marsons Ltd has announced its entry into the renewable energy sector. The company will focus on manufacturing specialised equipment and undertaking EPC contracts for solar power plants. The company plans to supply inverter-duty transformers and generation step-up (GSU) transformers for solar and wind power plants, and it will invest Rs 25 million to expand its transformer range over the next three months.
In addition, Marsons received a letter of intent (LoI) from NACOF OORJA to develop 150 MW (AC) grid-interactive solar PV plants across multiple locations in Rajasthan. The Rs 6.75 billion project, executed under the KUSUM scheme for Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd (RRECL), aims to provide daytime power for agricultural consumers. The initial stage involves building a 2 MW plant, with the overall order subject to confirmation. The project is expected to be completed within 12-18 months, with technical support from Aditya Clean Systems (P) Ltd.
Marsons projects this new vertical could contribute 30-40% to its revenue by FY27.
