Locus Energy and Ingrid are partnering to enhance Sweden’s energy infrastructure by building 13 large-scale battery storage systems in the southern regions, adding 196 MW of flexible capacity to the national grid in the SE3 and SE4 price areas. These battery systems are expected to be operational within 12 months and will help address power shortages in 13 communities.

Locus Energy, a joint venture between Locus Infra and SEB Investment Management AB (SEB IM), specializes in solar monitoring and data analytics for the photovoltaic market. Ingrid Capacity focuses on enhancing energy system flexibility through energy storage and is developing a pipeline of around 7 GW, with projects in Finland, Germany, Ukraine, and other European countries.
