KEPCO announces compensation details for East-5 section of 500 kV HVDC East Coast─Singapyeong transmission line

South Korea’s Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) has outlined the compensation agreement for the East-5 section of its 500 kV HVDC East Coast─Singapyeong transmission line. This major project will enable the evacuation of 6.8 GW of power from various thermal plants, including Samcheok.

The project involves constructing 225 km of transmission lines, divided into 11 sections, and includes building 440 transmission towers. The western section spans approximately 85 km, covering areas from Hoengseong to Hongcheon, Yangpyeong, and Gapyeong. The eastern section covers around 140 km, connecting Uljin to Samcheok, Bonghwa, Yeongwol, and Pyeongchang.

The entire project is expected to be completed by 2026.

Delhi flags off 320 E-buses

The Government of Delhi has flagged off 320 electric buses, increasing the city’s e-bus fleet to 1,970. Delhi now has the highest number of electric buses in India and is third globally. GE Power secures Rs 209 million order from MPPGCL for boiler parts

GE Power India Limited has received a purchase order valued at Rs 209 million from Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited (MPPGCL) to supply boiler parts at the Sanjay Gandhi Power Station.  The order, subject to an additional 18% goods and service tax, is to be executed within 3.5 months.
