Karnataka Power Transmission invites bids for 220 kV DC transmission line in Tumkur

Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation has invited bids for the construction of a 220 kV double-circuit (DC) transmission line at the 220 kV Pavagada substation in Tumkur district. The project involves a 31.32 km DC line with high-performance conductor (HPC) from the 400/220 kV Kyathaganacherlu (PGCIL) station, along with two 220 kV terminal bays, aimed at providing an alternate power source to the Pavagada station.

The project is estimated to cost Rs 1.43 billion and must be completed within 18 months from the issuance of the letter of intent (LoI). The last date to submit bids is October 21, 2024.
