JSW signs PPA with BESCOM for 300 MW solar project

JSW Renew Energy Twenty, a stepdown subsidiary of JSW Energy, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) for 300 MW of solar capacity. This project, awarded by Karnataka Renewable Energy Development (KREDL), is set to supply power at a tariff of Rs 2.89/KWh until FY 2044.

Located in Pavagada Solar Park, Karnataka, the project is expected to be commissioned within the next 18 months. JSW Energy’s current solar pipeline capacity stands at 3.2 GW, with PPAs signed for 1.3 GW. The company’s total locked-in generation capacity is 16.7 GW, comprising 7.5 GW operational, 2.3 GW under construction across wind, thermal, and hydro, and a renewable energy pipeline of 6.9 GW, with PPAs signed for 2.3 GW.
