Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JDVVNL) has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) for the development of 60 grid-connected solar power systems under Component A of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme. The announcement was made on May 29, 2025, with the final bid submission date set for June 30, 2025.

The systems will range from 0.5 MW to 2 MW each, adding up to a total capacity of 116 MW. These projects are aimed at feeder-level solarisation to supply power to agricultural consumers connected to 11 kV feeders across JDVVNL’s network.

The scope includes leasing land for 26 years, designing and setting up the solar plants, and operating and maintaining them for 25 years. It also involves laying 33kV/11kV lines to connect the plants to substations and setting up remote monitoring systems. Projects will be implemented on a Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model.

Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited (RUVITL) will sign 25-year power purchase agreements on JDVVNL’s behalf at a levelised tariff of Rs 3.04 per kWh. Projects must be commissioned within nine months of signing the PPA.

The tender is part of the 5,000 MW capacity sanctioned under Component A of PM-KUSUM to Rajasthan’s three DISCOMs—JDVVNL (2,500 MW), Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) (1,500 MW), and Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL) (1,000 MW).
