The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced that India has about 151 GW of renewable energy projects in various stages of implementation. Around 76.42 GW of this capacity will become operational in the next three to four years. The tendering process for the 76.42 GW capacity projects has been completed.
Since 2014, India’s renewable energy capacity has grown from 76 GW to over 195 GW as of June 2024.

Powin, an energy storage solutions provider, has secured a revolving credit facility of up to $200 million, primarily from insurance accounts managed by investment firm KKR. The funding will support Powin’s working capital, drive innovation, and enhance financial flexibility as the company expands within the growing energy storage sector. Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam has invited bids for the segregation of 11 kV mixed feeders at JPDC North Circle in Rajasthan. The project, under the RDSS scheme, involves the supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of material and equipment. The estimated cost for TN-553 is approximately Rs 1.28 billion.
