Greenko Energies Private Limited (GEPL) has floated a Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of three pumped storage projects (PSPs). The bids are split across three packages—civil, hydro-mechanical (H&M), and electro-mechanical (E&M) works. The last date for submission is June 20, 2025.
The three PSPs are:
Greenko GJ01 (1,600 MW)
Located in Ukai village, Tapi district, Gujarat.
Greenko MH01 (2,000 MW)
Planned at Nayagaon village, Soegaon taluk, Aurangabad district, Maharashtra.
Greenko UP01 (3,660 MW)
An off-stream closed-loop pumped storage project in Gurar village, Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh. It will span 699.42 hectares with an estimated investment of Rs 184.16 billion.
Separately, NHPC Limited has invited bids for the Lot-I civil works package of the 260 MW Dulhasti Hydro Electric Project (Stage II) in Jammu & Kashmir. The tender was issued on May 30, 2025, with a bid deadline of July 11, 2025.
The scope includes major underground and civil infrastructure such as intake tunnel, desilting chamber, flushing tunnel, head race tunnel (HRT), surge shaft, pressure shaft, power house cavern, transformer cavern, main inlet valve cavern, main access tunnel (MAT), downstream galleries, and tail race tunnel (TRT).
Dulhasti Stage II will be a run-of-the-river project on the Chandra River, a tributary of the Chenab. The ownership structure includes NHPC (49%), Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (49%), and PTC India Limited (2%).
