Greencoat Renewables has acquired a 50% stake in the 80.5 MW South Meath solar farm in Ireland, partnering with Schroders Greencoat, which holds the remaining stake. An unnamed technology company has secured a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for the farm’s entire output. This acquisition, a key investment in Ireland’s renewable energy infrastructure, follows Greencoat’s recent purchase of a 22.5% share in Germany’s Butendiek offshore wind farm.
