GE Power India Limited has won a contract worth Rs 162.25 million from NTPC Limited for supplying generator parts for a thermal power project in Telangana.
The contract, awarded on February 5, 2025, includes a base value of Rs 137.5 million and Rs 24.75 million at 18 per cent GST.
Separately, Vishnu Prakash R Punglia Limited has received a Letter of Award (LoA) worth Rs 2,475.5 million for civil works in the entire power block house area of the 800 MW Sipat Advanced Ultra Super Critical (AUSC) Thermal Power Project Stage-III. The contract was awarded on February 5, 2025, after Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) invited bids in December 2024.
The project will be developed within the premises of the existing Sipat Power Plant (Stage-I: 3×660 MW and Stage-II: 2×500 MW) in Bilaspur district, Chhattisgarh. It is a collaborative effort between NTPC, BHEL, and the Indira Gandhi Centre of Atomic Research (IGCAR).
