GAIL (India) Limited has re-invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 170 MW captive wind power projects in Maharashtra. The Request for Proposal (RfP) was reissued on 29 April 2025, following an earlier call for bids in July 2024. The last date for submission is 16 June 2025.
The selected contractor will develop the project on a lump sum turn-key (LSTK) basis. Scope includes design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, land acquisition, and approvals. The contractor will also provide 10 years of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M). The project is to be completed within 24 months from the date of receiving the Letter of Award.
Separately, V.O. Chidambaranar (VOC) Port Trust has invited EPC bids for a 6 MW wind power project in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. The deadline for submission is 8 May 2025.
The scope includes all civil, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, communication, and power evacuation works. The bidder will also handle installation of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, along with performance guarantee testing. The project includes 11 years of comprehensive O&M, including a two-year guarantee period.
The Tuticorin project is expected to be commissioned within six months of work commencement. The estimated cost is Rs 609.2 million.
