Four developers have won contracts to set up a total of 250 MW grid-connected wind power projects across India under Phase IX of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). The bidding was finalised on April 23, 2025.
- KPI Green Energy Limited secured 100 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.64 per kWh.
- Juniper Green Energy Private Limited won 50 MW at Rs 3.65 per kWh.
- JGRJ Four Renewable Private Limited (Jakson Green), a subsidiary of Jakson Power Private Limited, was awarded 50 MW at Rs 3.66 per kWh.
- Inox Neo Energies Private Limited, a subsidiary of Inox Wind Limited, won 50 MW under the bucket-filling method at Rs 3.66 per kWh, though it had submitted bids for 100 MW.
The tender was launched in January 2025, with a base capacity of 250 MW and a greenshoe option for another 250 MW. The winning developers will set up wind power plants and related transmission infrastructure for evacuation at Central Transmission Utility (CTU) or State Transmission Utility (STU) substations.
GUVNL will sign 25-year power purchase agreements with the winners. The projects must be commissioned within 24 months of signing the PPAs.
