EDF Renewables signs PPA with OPPD for 300 MW Milligan 1 Wind project

EDF Renewables North America has entered a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) to supply clean energy from its 300MW Milligan 1 Wind project in Nebraska. Operational since 2021, Milligan 1 is owned and developed by EDF Renewables.

OPPD President Javier Fernandez highlighted the project’s role in diversifying and expanding OPPD’s energy portfolio, which will help meet the growing electricity demand in Nebraska. OPPD aims to add 3.2 GW of generation by the end of the decade, with half coming from renewable sources.

EDF Renewables has developed over 18 GW of renewable projects and is committed to future collaborations with OPPD.
