Cygni Energy partners with XDLE Battery for energy storage solutions
Cygni Energy Private Limited, a leading energy storage company based in Hyderabad, has partnered with XDLE Battery, a major manufacturer of long-life Lithium LFP Prismatic cells, to develop stationary energy storage solutions.
Cygni, recognized under the ‘Make in India’ scheme, focuses on safety-first storage solutions, collaborating with IIT Madras and OEMs for tailored designs. Their state-of-the-art Hyderabad facility has a 1.2 GWh production capacity, featuring advanced automated prismatic battery pack production and testing.
The partnership with XDLE will develop energy storage systems from 20 kWh to 1 MWh for India’s commercial and industrial sectors, aimed at reducing electricity costs and promoting renewable energy. These systems will offer warranties of 10 years or more to attract investments.
XDLE, known as Xingdong, has a 25.5 GWh per year manufacturing capacity and is a leader in grid-scale and commercial energy storage. They specialize in low-temperature charging and solid-state battery technology, enhancing safety and performance.
Cygni Energy, incubated at IIT Madras, is a leader in EV batteries and stationary energy storage, recently raising USD 12.5 million in Series-B funding. They have deployed over 125 MWh of storage solutions and powered more than 100,000 electric vehicles.
